Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 31, 2026
B Live LLC ("B Live," "we," "us") produces live and on-demand video and operates the technology behind streaming channels, apps, and live events for our clients. This policy explains what information we collect, why, and what control you have over it.
Who this policy covers
- Visitors to blive.nyc and people who contact us.
- Client staff who sign in to our production, studio, and analytics tools.
- Third-party accounts a client’s authorized representative connects to our services — for example a YouTube channel or a Facebook Page — so we can publish and measure on their behalf.
Connecting a platform account is available only to a client’s authorized representatives — the people who administer that client’s own channels and pages. It is not offered to the general public, and we never connect an account we have not been asked by its owner to connect.
Streaming channels, apps, and websites we build and operate for our clients are governed by that client's own privacy policy, not this one. On those services B Live acts as the client's service provider, handling data on their instructions.
Information we collect
Information you give us. Your name, email address, phone number, company, and anything else you include when you contact us, request a proposal, or sign up for an account.
Account and usage information. When client staff use our tools we record sign-in events, the actions taken in the tool, and the client workspace the account belongs to — so we can secure accounts and support the service.
Information from your device. Standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested, timestamps) and cookies. Our cookie and consent practices are described below.
Information from connected platform accounts. When a client connects a third-party account, we receive data from that platform's API — described in detail in the next section.
We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13, and our services are not directed to them.
Google user data — what we access and why
When you connect a Google or YouTube account to B Live, Google asks you to approve specific permissions ("scopes"). We request only what the feature you're using requires:
| Permission | What it lets us do | Why we need it |
|---|---|---|
youtube and youtube.force-ssl | Create and manage live broadcasts, live streams, and stream bindings on the connected channel; start and stop those broadcasts; read and post live-chat messages during the broadcast | So a client's live event can be broadcast to the channel they own, and moderated during the event |
yt-analytics.readonly | Read aggregated viewership metrics for the connected channel — counts and rates, not the identities of individual viewers | So we can report that channel's own performance back to its owner |
Who decides how it is used. The client whose channel is connected determines the purposes of this processing and is the data controller for it; B Live acts as their processor, on their instructions.
What we do with it. Google user data is used only to provide these features to the account owner and to show that owner reports about their own channel. We store the minimum needed to keep the connection working — an encrypted access and refresh token, the channel identifier and name, and the identifiers and metrics of broadcasts we created — in access-controlled systems.
What we do not do. We do not sell Google user data. We do not use it for advertising, and we do not use it to build profiles or serve ads to anyone. We do not transfer it to others except: (a) service providers who host or process it for us under contract, and only for that purpose; (b) where the account owner directs us to; or (c) where required by law. We do not use it to train generalized artificial-intelligence or machine-learning models. We do not allow humans to read it, except with the account owner's explicit consent, for security purposes such as investigating abuse, to comply with applicable law, or where the data has been aggregated and anonymized.
Limited Use. B Live's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
How long we keep it. In line with the YouTube API Services Developer Policies, stored YouTube data is refreshed or deleted at least every 30 days. Tokens and connection records are kept while the connection is active and deleted within 30 days after it is revoked or the account is closed. Reporting we derive from this data is stored in aggregated form for the term of the client relationship and deleted or anonymized within 90 days after it ends.
How to revoke access. You can disconnect the account inside B Live at any time, or revoke our access directly at myaccount.google.com/permissions. Revocation stops all future access immediately. To request deletion of data we already hold, email info@blive.nyc.
Live chat during broadcasts
Where a client uses our live-chat features, we read the public chat of their own broadcast and may post messages to it on their behalf. From each message we receive the viewer’s public display name, the message text, and the time it was sent — the same information any viewer of that live stream can see.
We use it to display chat in the client’s live experience and to produce engagement analysis for that client (for example volume over time and overall sentiment). We do not use chat data for advertising, do not build profiles of individual viewers from it, and do not sell or otherwise transfer it. Stored chat data is refreshed or deleted at least every 30 days; analysis we keep beyond that is aggregated and no longer identifies individual viewers.
The client operating the broadcast decides how chat is used and moderated on their channel and is the controller of that data. Viewers can also manage or delete their own messages through YouTube.
Other connected platforms
The same principles apply to other platforms a client connects — including Meta (Facebook and Instagram), TikTok, Twitch, Vimeo, LinkedIn, and Kick. We access only what the client authorizes, use it only to publish and measure on their behalf, store tokens encrypted, and stop on revocation. Each platform's own terms and privacy policy also apply to data held on their systems.
For Meta specifically, a client’s administrator grants us access to their own Page, video, and advertising assets. The permissions we request are:
| Permission | What it lets us do | Why we need it |
|---|---|---|
pages_show_list, pages_read_engagement | See which Pages the client has granted us and read those Pages’ own engagement data | To select the right destination and report performance back to the client |
pages_manage_posts, publish_video | Publish posts and live video to the client’s Page | To broadcast and post the client’s content to the Page they own |
read_insights | Read aggregated insights for the client’s own Page and posts | To report reach and engagement back to the client |
business_management | Work with the assets the client’s Business Manager has shared with us | To operate on the correct client assets under a partner arrangement |
ads_management, ads_read | Read and, where the client approves the spend, manage advertising in the client’s own ad account | To run and measure campaigns the client has asked us to run for them |
How we use information
- To provide, operate, and support our services.
- To publish, distribute, and measure content at a client's direction.
- To communicate with you about projects, support, and service changes.
- To secure our systems, prevent abuse, and investigate incidents.
- To meet legal, accounting, and contractual obligations.
Cookies, analytics, and advertising measurement
On blive.nyc we use essential cookies (which keep the site working and remember your privacy choices) and, where you allow it, analytics cookies that help us understand which pages are useful.
On client streaming services that we operate, additional measurement may run under the client's policy and consent banner: product analytics, and — where the visitor opts in to marketing cookies — advertising measurement tags and conversion reporting to advertising platforms. Those services separate consent into analytics and marketing categories; marketing tags and advertising conversions do not run unless the visitor opts in, and we honor Global Privacy Control signals as an opt-out.
We do not put personal identifiers into tracking links. Campaign links carry only campaign-level tags, never person-level identifiers.
Payments
Where a service takes payment, card details are handled by our payment processor, Stripe, and are never stored on our systems. We retain the transaction record (amount, currency, product, and status) needed for accounting and support.
Sharing
We share information with:
- Service providers who host, process, or support our systems under contract — including cloud infrastructure, product analytics, email delivery, and payment processing.
- Clients, for the services and audiences that belong to them.
- Platforms a client has directed us to publish to or measure on.
- Authorities, where required by law or to protect rights and safety.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Security
We protect information with encryption in transit and at rest, access controls scoped to the people and systems that need it, credentials held in a managed secrets store rather than in code, and audit logging. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to keep this one worth your trust.
Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, to withdraw consent, and to appeal a decision we make about such a request. Email info@blive.nyc and we will respond within the time the applicable law requires. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
Residents of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, and other states with comprehensive privacy laws have these rights under those laws. Individuals in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom have rights under the GDPR; where a client determines the purposes of processing, that client is the controller and we act as processor on their instructions.
How to request deletion of your data
To have data deleted, email info@blive.nyc from the address associated with the account, with the platform and account or channel concerned. We confirm the request with the client’s account owner, delete the connection record, tokens, and stored platform data we hold for it within 30 days, and confirm in writing when it is done.
You can also cut off our access directly at any time: for Google and YouTube at myaccount.google.com/permissions, and for Meta under Business Integrations in your Facebook settings. Revoking access stops all future access immediately; email us as above to also remove data already stored.
Changes
We may update this policy. The “Last updated” date above reflects the current version, and material changes will be announced on this page.
